STAR FOR ELVIS PRESLEY TO BE ANNOUNCED AT BIG E BIRTHDAY PARTY

(Las Vegas, NV)-The fan generated kick-off event announcing “A Star for Elvis” campaign for The Las Vegas Walk of Stars takes place THURSDAY FEBRUARY 28, 2008 (3 PM to 8 PM) at a FREE SHOW in the LOUNGE at BILL’S GAMBLIN’ HALL & SALOON during the Annual BIG ELVIS Birthday Celebration. “A Star for Elvis” campaign, sponsored by the Viva Las Vegas! Elvis Presley Fan Club will bestow the ultimate honor on the King of Rock ‘n Roll, with a dedication on The Las Vegas Walk of Stars scheduled for the fall of 2008.

Thursday, February 28th in the Lounge at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon, Elvis fans from across the Las Vegas Valley are invited to a jam packed entertainment showcase at the award winning Big Elvis Show (starring Pete Vallee), with celebrity entertainers, and other special guests including Sonny West, former Memphis Mafia member, Presley confidante and author; West’s assistant and author of two Elvis books, Sandi Pichon; stars from Presley’s movies, including Darlene Tomkins (Blue Hawaii), Cynthia Pepper (Kissin’ Cousins), and Jon Patino (Charro); and Sandi Miller, Presley friend.

The Las Vegas Walk of Stars is a non-profit organization that hopes to honor well over 3000 individuals who have achieved a level of prominence while living and or working in Las Vegas. Celebrity spokesperson for “A Star for Elvis” campaign, Pete Vallee has performed his heartfelt tribute to Elvis for the past 6 years at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon (Harrah’s Entertainment), Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7:15 PM. Vallee’s tribute show has received multiple awards from the Review Journal Best of Las Vegas, including Best Elvis Impersonator 2006, as well as awards from What’s On Magazine, VegasTripping.com, and Las Vegas Magazine. Vallee has been featured in documentaries and interviews on the BBC, German TV, FOX National News, Game Show Network, Travel Channel, E-Entertainment Network, Discovery Channel; and in articles from the L.A. Times to the National Enquirer, for his vocal similarities to Elvis, and most recently stemming from his weight loss of over 500 pounds during the past 3 years.
