An Elvis impersonator is to hold a show to raise funds for the hospital which treated his daughter after she fell down stairs.
Alan Moore, of Nottingham Road, Codnor, said care daughter Natalie received after the fall was remarkable.
Natalie was treated in Nottingham Queen's Medical Centre's Intensive Care Unit. Mr Moore said: "We were told that she had a fractured neck and severe brain swelling, which they said twice she would not survive the night."
Natalie, 39, had three brain operations to remove blood clots and a small area of her brain. She is now in hospital making steady progress, and the signs are looking very good.
He said: "We do not know what the future holds in store for us. But what we do know is that this fantastic Dr Ashpole and his brilliant team at the QMC Intensive Care unit saved my daughter's life that night for which all the family will forever be eternally greatful."
The Elvis Presley Tribute show will be on June 6 at Riddings Community Centre, Willoughby Road, Scunthorpe, South Humberside, UK
