Set List's

Have you ever tried to copy Elvis's set lists down to a T? Take the 68 Come back for instance, if you were to do a whole show dedicated to his set list (in 2 sets - either one of the sitting down ones) do you think the audience would go for it or would they always expect the Jumpsuit to make an appearance? And if so does that mean then the Jumpsuit era would have been the most influential of all?

Unless u were playing to pure Elvis fans and you were very, very good, I don`t think you would get away with it.

I don`t base my act around an Elvis set, and also, as I `specialize` in c`68 - `73, some of the songs I do won`t be right (I do some of the later ballads)

When I do Blackpool, however, I will ensure I do the right songs for the period and I will wear the right costume.

I suppose that most of the time you have to appeal to the masses.

A pet hate of mine, apart from joke Elvis acts, are people who do the wrong moves in the wrong era i.e. `50s moves in a jumpsuit.
