Who's going to Blackpool 14th /15th/16 August ?

Hi Guys and girls just wondered if any of you guys are going to the Ultimate Elvis at the queens in August 14th/15th/16th August 2009 ?

What i thought was if theres a few from here we could do a our legendary P*ss up and party lol.

Dont know, got some white platforms ones or high heeled leather thigh ones, cant decide . Would like a pair of them red ones what are on your piccys. If I forget to do my eyebrows I can always get Garry John to do them

Gary is pro at eyebrows , i never thought i would hear myself saying this but Garrrrrrrrry actually takes longer to get ready than lorney does and thats saying something........

Just a note to say that this Wednesday Blackpool, the Queens Hotel and Martin's wednesday night show is being filmed by the BBC for a new Travel show.

i would like to come to this but with so much going on this month, joel ewens convention, another event in york at the end of the month and porthcawl festival next month im not sure i can afford it lol

Where is everyone staying for this event ? Have you booked a hotel ?

Should be a good weekend, anyone with a ticket has got an absolute steal, Paul Larcombe, Paul Molloy, Kirk Turner,Mike Nova and Rob Kingsley all in one gig, awesome!!

Join us in our Elvis themed bar, for those who havent been before it is full of memorabilia

Some of our younger and newer ETA's may not have been to the Queens Hotel and realise that this is where it all began.
Way back The Queens Hotel was the first venue for the ' Walk a Mile in my Shoes ' European championships, some of you were amatuers back then and some of you were in the audience with your Mums and Dads, we have come a long way since then.
The Queens also hosted in 2004 the 50 year celebration of 'Thats allright Mama' and was attended by and he had his 60th Birthday there 'Sonny West'.
Larry Geller and his wife were also guests at the Queens Hotel also the Sweet Inspirations and members of the touring TCB band.
We once several years ago did a full summer season of Elvis shows at the Queens and several times it has been filmed for New and TV stuff.
The Theatre bar and the the Ballroom ( dining room ) holds a lot of memories for alot of ETA's and fans and this Sunday August 16th 2009 there will be another major Elvis and ETA announcement made at the Queens, you wont want to miss it !!!

I remember it well, all the heats and the 'thats alright mama' do. I will always have a special place for the Queens, plus its where I met MrB. Had some fab years there and really lookin forward to returning this weekend. Its gonna be fab! Yey!
