A gift of $1,000 to the Lions Club's football game for the blind was assured yesterday by Elvis Presley, Memphis' internationally known rock and roll singer. The contribution was assured in a letter received here from Vernon Presley, father of the singer, who is with the young Memphian in Bad Nauheim, Germany. Elvis has contributed $1,000 to the annual benefit game for the past two years. The annual football classic on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, will be played between South Side and Christian Brothers High School.
