Elvis valentine weekend 2012

Please note: Danny Welsh will not be attending now and his position has been filled, I do have a number of other ETA's that would like to take a slot if any come available, how ever Im sure everyone will get a chance to get up and sing at some point during the weekend. Saturday afternoon is there is a surprise showcase (ps don't even bother trying to get out of me what it is coz even I don't know, I know who is doing it but exactly what they are doing)



We have chosen to return to this venue as it is a fantastic atmosphere and we have free run of the hotel for the weekend, however, it is smaller than recent venues we have done, this only has 43 rooms of which most are booked up. If you wish to join us, contact the hotel directly.

And just so you al can't say "I didnt know that" yes you do have to dress up in Hawiian clothes on the saturday evening, yes guys grass skirts!!!!

Could be worse, your white bits could be on show from your holiday.

As people keep asking is there going to be another one after this weekender, I am currently negotiating with another hotel in Blackpool, hopefully for june. For ETA's that perform, it will be £30 per couple for the weekend, inc bed, breakfast & evening dinner. I will continue negotiating if enough interest. xx

Please not there are a couple of changes to Artists for the weekend!! I hope the winds die down or everyone will be chasing the skirts

A HUGE Thankyou to all who attended the weekend, and a MASSIVE Thankyou to all the Guys that performed, and the Exquisite Sweet Sensations!!!

A mixture of Early years, Movie years, 68 Comeback and Vegas years, Tooooo many songs to name, and the fab Mike Aaron sang some songs Ive never even heard, brilliant they where too

A couple of newcomers to the weekender where Jared Warne, Having not seen Jared perform before, I will have no reservation in going to see him again, he did a fantastic performance!! Another Newcomer was Gary John, can't believe I have never seen Gary perform before when He lives so close to me, I will certainly be going to see him again, the highlight for me was his Amazing daughters, backing singers Sweet Sentations Sydney & Piper, They looked absolutely fantastic in their jumpsuits, and did a brilliant performance of Way Down. They also kept me busy playing games whilst decorating the room ready for the Hawaiian Night, I forgot how much fun I Spy can be

Friday Evening began with Andy Reno his second appearance at the weekenders. Thanks Andy!! next on stage was our very own regular to the weekenders, Andy Wright, Thanks Andy!! Following Andy Was John George, a great performace of the 68 Comeback, Thanks John!!

Following John, for his first appearance at the weekend was Jared Warne a brilliant performance of the Early Years, Thanks Jared. Next on stage was another regular at the weekenders, Charles King, Great performance, Thanks Charles!! Following Charles, Making his debut at a previous Elvis weekender, James Aaron King, Brilliant performance Jim, Thanks!!

Some people Having only gone to bed at 06.45am Sat Morn, Im amazed they woke for the saturady entertainment, bet ya can't guess who they where

Saturday afternoon, Kev King did an excellent set of Billy Fury, and Andy Reno did a set of Swing and Crooners Music loved every minute!!

Considering the weather was very cold, it was great to see so many people in Hawaiian Costume Saturday Evening, ladies you where very brave wearing the grass skirts and coconut and shell Bra's a Huge well done to you!! and guys, I don't think Ive seen as many Hawaiian Shirts in any one place at any one time, Well done to you!!

Unfortunately Johnny B was unable to attend, ( Thoughts are with you Johnny xx) So starting the evening off was Scott Heywood, his 3rd appearance at the weekenders, fab set of songs, Thanks Scott!! Following Scott, another regular weekender Mr Kevin King, amazed your voice held out after sat afternoon, fab performance as usual, Thanks Kevin!!
Next on stage and a newcomer to the weekenders, Mr Gary John Ive been missing out not seeing Gary perform his show, brilliant performance and I love your Sweet Sensational daughters, Thanks Gary, Sydney & Piper!!
Following Gary was Mike Aaron, this guy surprises me every time he sings at the weekender as he always manages to perform songs that Ive never heard before and brilliant they are too, Thanks Mike! after recovering from a set on the Friday evening, John George performed the Vegas Years Fab Job John, Thanks!!

Concluding the sets of the weekend, all the guys where on stage and performed American Trilogy, superb job guys, Thanks!!


PS Sorry I was unable to say bye to everyone, I had to shoot off very early

Once again, a MASSIVE THANKS to everyone involved and see you all again in June By the way I do have one complaint out of the whole weekend I did'nt even get one single scalf

We had a FAB time (as always) over the weekend. A BIG thank you to Tracey for organising the event, as well as the hawaiian setting. Met up with 'old' and made alot of new friends. Some of the singers i've never heard before, but you were all BRILL. I loved the Sweet Inspirations!! And performing at such a tender age too. Tracey, thank you for your in-depth post comments on the events over the weekend. Roll on for the next one!!!! It's always a real pleasure to be able to attend such popular events.
