Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe are set to be featured in an online game targeted at the 40 and over crowd. The game, published by Entertainment Games, is titled Retro World, and features Presley and Monroe starring in the roles of other characters.
The game plots vary for characters and take the form of serialized point-and-click adventures. For example, in "Owl Files," the first Retro World offering, Monroe plays a 60s-era spy; in another game, Elvis is featured as a doctor.
The first Retro World launches will come via Facebook before expanding to Google + and tablet platforms.
Retro Games has also partnered with Dick Clark to serve as the virtual host of their gaming universe. Clark said he was happy to stake a claim in the online gaming market:
"It feels good to be a part of something fun, geared at the 40-and-over community. Imagine being able to revisit your favorite fashion, TV shows, celebrities, cars and more from your teens and 20s."
