Blu-Ray for Aloha From Hawaii and the '68 Comeback Special?
We asked Scott Williams, Vice President of Marketing and Media at EPE about the possibilities of blu-ray releases of the Aloha From Hawaii and ’68 Comeback Special, and he has explained to us that they are presented with difficulties due to the way both were filmed. As both were filmed for television and not the cinema screen the lower quality presents a problem in that it would be to evident in the high resolution blu-ray format. So it is a big challenge. They are checking some other technologies with their technical guys and who knows what sort of things may be developed in the future. Scott tells us that they want to make blu-ray releases happen as bad as the fans that use blu-ray. Let's all hope they can find a way!
