Elvis Presley to feature on Iron Gut Publishing selection January 13, 2012
Elvis fans will be all shook up to hear about a new range of artworks featuring their idol.
Radcliffe-based art retailer Iron Gut Publishing has signed an international deal with the singer's estate to create a selection of artworks featuring the singer known as 'The King'.
Iron Gut already holds licences to produce artwork featuring Muhammad Ali, Betty Boop, Wallace and Gromit and characters from Star Trek.
The firm's design team is now working on the new Elvis range, each of which has to be approved by the team at Presley's former home Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, before it is sold.
Managing director Anthony Marks said: “We will be introducing a fine art range for art galleries both here and in the USA, as well as an 'entry level' range for the gift market.
“Elvis is hugely popular on both sides of the Atlantic and our customer base, which includes mail order companies, internet retailers and department stores, is already excited about the range, which will be lunched later this year.
“”Iron Gut works with a number of heritage brands. We treat them with great respect and pay careful attention to what lifelong fans are looking for.”
If anyone has seen this in the paper has it has a photograph with it. I know I am going to get laughed at for this but for some reason I feel the picture is of Shaun Klush and not Elvis, maybe it is because Shaun does look like Elvis on some pictures.
