Lisa Marie made a special video for the 35th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death at a special event, but with such an outpouring from the 25,000 people in attendance at the 35th Anniversary Concert at the FedEX Forum in Memphis, the entertainer has decided to release it on a global level. On Monday CMT announced it will debut the I Love You Because video for the first time on air to include the late Elvis Presley and his daughter Lisa Marie.
In what is described as an emotional performance, the video no doubt will give Elvis Presley fans another opportunity to appreciate the entertainer’s amazing vocals even after death. With today’s technology and the continued interest of the fans, having Lisa Marie Presley sing with her father seems like an interesting combination.
The song will also be available on iTunes after the release on CMT Thursday. Sharing the beauty of Elvis Presley’s voice, the younger Presley hopes to persuade her dad’s fans to buy her album too. Her new album Storm & Grace has many interested in comparison of the two voices but nobody seems quite as enthusiastic about the record as they did for Elvis Presley’s work. Hopefully with the two singing together, that will change.
