When is the best time 4u to visit Memphis?

I was wondering when is the best time for you to visit Memphis?
Would you go August or Jan and why?
or would you prefer to go out of Elvis Weeks if so why?

When I do go to visit Memphis, I would prefer to go during Elvis Week and reason why? This will be the time that many people I have gotten to know online and developed friendships will more than likely will be there.

However, this past August the heat index was very very high, and with my having Asthma, many of my friends told me. They are concerned for my coming down in August. They say we can arrange to maybe meet around January many have said.... However I am still determined to go in August - keep lots of water on me

I have been 3 times, in August(1987) and Jan(2001, 2008) and both are great times to go.

Personally, if you have never been to Graceland before then i would choose January, more importantly a week before January 8th.After the 8th there is no events on really, everything happens before the 8th and they still have all the Christmas lights up which is a pretty amazing site.

Ive only ever been once and that was in September for the Wedding.
There were hardly any ques to get into anything and going around Graceland was very relaxed. I would however would have liked to see more shows.

For my first time it was nice it being quiet, especially as Ebony was so young but maybe when she is older we will go back in Aug to be in the thick of it
