Cooking with Elvis - In York

Hi Guys, Just found this on the net... any of you heard of it?


When an amature Elvis Impersonator is paralysed in a car crash, his wife and daughter are left with the aftermath. In an attempt to replace him, Mam turns to sex and Jill turns to cooking. Unfortunately they both try out their talents on the same man! Part knockabout farce, part cookery course, Cooking With Elvis is a provocative and outrageously funny look at disability while combining the three greatest pleasures in life, sex, food and The King!

I saw this play in London when it had Frank Skinner playing the principle role (no he didn't play Elvis)
One of the funniest plays i have ever seen. Don't worry it doesn't mock Elvis - the connection there is that the play centres around the family of an ex-ETA who is now disabled (well a virtual cabbage - if I'm allowed to say that) by an accident - that said he springs to life a few times during the play while all the other actors freeze and sings some of the more famous Elvis songs - I know all sounds a bit bizarre but well worth seeing!

I saw this play at Hull Truck Theatre and it is really funny and like Neil has said it doesn't mock Elvis at all

Ah thanks guys! If we can book a babysitter then we will definitely go.
It does sound really good and most of all different! lol
Think the last time I went to the theatre was to see Heath Ashton.
