Just looked in this old Christmas catalogue and saw all these Elvis items on offer

SELLING ELVIS

In the Mid-80's when i was a innocent teenager, i used to go up to the Elvisly Yours Shop in London and buy this sort of stuff.

Then i came to my senses and started spending my money on records and video's instead.

Good for you!!!!! I know a boy at school who had an Elvis doll...it looked nothing like Elvis thou'. It makes me quite angry really.

When i was in Memphis and was looking round the shops you wouldnt believe some of the stuff that was being sold.

Even down Beale Street, Elvis' name was on everything.

Quite sad really.

Key Rings,
Also Elvis magnets on my fridge
Also playing cards
Elvis coasters
Elvis Stamps

*the above Elvis fans have purchased for me as gifts

I am looking for something to nail inside my coat closet that is Elvisly, to hang my house keys on now

I also own a Elvis wall clock, but the hand on the clock is not working... I have 2 Elvis handbags, also Elvis earings and the list of little things goes on and on and on

What is so wrong with and so unclassy of owning a Elvisly house key hanger? In years gone by I knew of people that owned them. Besides, I had intentions of it being just inside my coat closet... Preferably one that could hold a couple sets of keys...

I guess that I am just not classy in a Elvisly way in your eyes then - well least to the majority of the board members....

I just think Elvis' image is used too much. Its used on things that to me are totally not Elvis themed or remind me of Elvis in the way I want to remember him.

I have Elvis Keyrings, Elvis Vest Tops, Elvis Pics, Elvis Clock, Elvis Cups and Elvis Ornaments but there are some things that just go too far.
In one shop in Memphis they had an Elvis door mat, I wouldnt want to wipe my shoes on Elvis's face never mind stand on him. I didnt like that at all, plus There was Elvis's face on a bar stool. Imagin sitting on Elvis's face Some stuff is just totally bizzare!

Thats just takin the p*ss. Now that does make me blood boil. I think its the dolls that freak me out...some of them should be banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Says I.

Yeah esp. the talkin one! Saw that first hand at Graceland shops and didnt like it one bit. If its freaky for us imagine what Lisa and Priscilla think about it. Why oh why they sell this crap is beyond me.

As for Elvis Christmas Tree ornaments, I now have 2 of them..

I now have about 6 Elvis dolls... just waiting for either someone to make me a cabinet and/or my to afford to purchase one to put these dolls in (otherwise packed away safely at the moment)

Oh dear...lots of Elvis dolls.
I guess the throw would be ok...to hang on your wall...its just it didnt look like Elvis, it looked cheap n tacky.
