what makes a good eta

hello gang just thought i would ask WHAT MAKES A GOOD ETA. mines voice and looks and most of all the respect to elvis. what do you think thanks phil king

the voice is most important, before people saw elvis they heared him,
before he was an image, actor or anthing else he was a singer.

the greatest tribute you can pay to elvis is to try and sing and sound as much like the man as possible.

Got to be vocals above all then stage presence, need a nice look & move well!

The Voice most deffenetly!
But also the passion and love for Elvis.

Respect.

Everything else is secondary.

Voice
Sincerity
Fun

Respect should actually go without saying.

I think it will depend on the ETA.

There are a lot of guys I would like to watch but they are all different.

Some sound like Elvis, some move like him, some look like him, etc, - some have bits of everything.

For me it is the fact that they are doing what I call a `true` tribute is very important.

In a funny sort of way, I`m not sure if someone who trys to be an Elvis `clone` does it for me.

Going with what all the other guys have said, `Voice, Sincerity, fun, respect, passion and love for Elvis, stage presence, need a nice look & move well` I think what is also important is being yourself.

Because we all study Elvis we will pick up certain things that he did and they will end up in our act, but as we will never be Elvis you need to put your own slant on it - if not you will end up becoming a watered down version of the great man.

I have seen many, many ETA's over the years, and I really love ETA's that will come from the stage and into the audience, and interact... this too really adds to their tributes..
