Why Elvis wore the Star of David

Have you ever wondered why Elvis wore the Star of David? The reason why was because he was infact of Jewish herritage!
He was a Christian when he was a child he went to a christian church in Tupelo.
He did however have Jewish heritage of which he was very proud. Elvis loved all cultures and was very interested in anything to do with God.
I have read that his Jewish heritage came from his mum and her mum. Gladys's mum was Octavia Mansell who was born to Jewish Martha Tacket. So it is Elvis's great grandmother who was Jewish. BUt then looking on this family tree it looks like its Verons side
Any how which ever side it came from Elvis was told my his mum and dad not to tell anyone anyone about this as the Jews were not very popular back then in the South.
In later years Elvis didnt hold his tounge about his heritage he actually wore both a cross and a star of David around his neck. He joked he "wasnt going to miss getting into Heaven on a technicality." And on his mother's grave there is even a star of David!
