| YOUNGSTERS at Minehead Middle School got all shook up at the weekend with a special fundraising event to help boost funds for their mini-bus appeal.
Parents, students, teachers and supporters flocked to the school on Friday to help boost the coffers at the fundraising event.
Award winning Elvis impersonator Heath Ashton wowed the crowds with a host of Elvis hits.
The event included a barbeque and bar with a performance from Heath, who was voted the nation's best Elvis impersonator in a GMTV competition and was a winner of Stars in Their Eyes.
PTA chairman Andre Baker said: "Heath Ashton is one of the most accomplished Elvis performers there is, with a fantastic backing band.
"The school desperately needs a new minibus, in particular to enable our league-winning sports teams to continue to attend away matches." He was funny and charmed the audience. There was a few of us dancing in the isle by the end of the night. Lol! Well worth a look if he is in your home town | |
