Ricky Rivers returns from Shreveport Louisiana with a lot of great achievements not only to have been selected to go out and perform in the States, and a lot of great feedback from the people who went to see him perform at Sam's Town Casino in Shreveport for the Ultimate Elvis Competition. He also won the Peoples Choice Award, and got to perform on the exact same stage Elvis Presley and many more great named artists that performed there back in 1954 on the Louisiana Hayride, 54 Years later Ricky Rivers Performs on the exact same spot as the King, and also one of the first Elvis Tributes to perform on the Louisiana Hayride since Elvis Presley himself back in 1954.

Ricky stated "I had a great time on the 12th and 13th July Firstly at the Ultimate Elvis Competition in Sam's Town Casinio Shreveport, all the people were very friendly and welcoming, and was surprised that some people knew who I was and saying they really enjoyed my performance, and also the Other Elvis Tributes who entered that all done a fantastic job and I made a lot of new friends.
Secondly the best experience while I was out there was getting to perform on the same stage Elvis Presley did back in 1954 and many other greats like Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, Roy Orbison just to name a few, they also let me use Elvis's Changing room which is now locked up for private tours, performing also with the live band behind was amazing, I got to perform two songs which I choose
"That's Alright Mama" and "Hound Dog" which went down a blast and everyone were on there feet dancing. Its all been a great opportunity for me to perform in America and to Perform on the same stage as my Idol and many other legends that I admire, It was such a great feeling and great to say I've Also Performed on the Louisiana Hayride "
