DAVID STANLEY

I wrote an article about Fingerprints Of Elvis...ther not so permanent exhibition in Liverpool.
For those whove been you'll know there was a guided tape...and at the end David Stanley said somethings about Elvis...and how he died. Apparently he...and dont ask me who else cos I dont know...found Elvis lying face down in the bathroom...he had bitten off his tongue and was blue in the face.
There were drugs lying around...Stanley kindley put them in his pocket to ptotect Elvis. Stanley says Elvis committed suicide.

Now weather or not I believe him...this was said on a tape for the public to hear. Anyone could listen to it.

I wrote about it some time ago...and was told by a so called friend...that I shouldnt have said what I did as Stanley was a liar and not a nice man. But...to be fair...I just wrote what he said...and it was printed. She said the editor should have edited my letter...he didnt!!!!! So he must have liked it.

I dont really know much about the man...or his family. I do know how powerful his words were thou at the Elvis Exhibition...and how it touched me. :star:

There was also carpet fibers in Elvis' hands which was evidence that Elvis was conscious when he fell.

Saying that, Elvis was well aware he was destroying his body with a high level of prescription drugs plus a very unhealthy volume of junk food.
Its sad what happened and it really shouldnt have happened.

Ive heard people say he wasnt even there...and I guess the thing is why let Stanley say that on a tape for all to hear??

Well, it was custom at Graceland that one of Elvis' bodyguards would always sleep in the upstairs room next to Elvis' bedroom.
According to Dr.Nick, the man who supposed to be on duty then was David's brother Rick but Dick Grob, who was head of security said that Rick left David in charge.

Ginger was the first one to see Elvis then phones the kitchen and contacted Al Strada, who was on duty downstairs.
He was the second person to see Elvis, rang round and got in touch with Joe Esposito.

As soon as Joe arrived , started CPR on Elvis, then Vernon turned up and a few others, Lisa was taken away by Ginger.
David was found to be playing pool down at the basement with a friend.

Im not sure what to think...a lot of people have said he wasnt there...neither was the drugs...I dont know!!!!

David Stanley was there but by no means one of the first on the scene.

I doubt very much that he would have taken any medication from the bathroom but its very likely that Joe Esposito did remove some items.

I don't believe Elvis' nose was broken as I have never ever heard this anywhere before.

When Elvis' body was lying in state, no-one mentioned his nose looked broken.
I don't like talking about this subject but in his final moments, I understand Elvis crawled several feet as Dan Warlick noted his body was several feet away from the commode. Given that Elvis was presumaby in a sitting position when he was stricken, and slumped to the ground- I can't see how a broken nose would have occured.

On the tape Stanley made he says Elvis' jaw had to be broken as he had vomitted and they were trying to clear his airway.
Now to me...you look at that picture taken by a family relative of Elvis in his casket...and all you see is a perfect face. I mean he looks different but his face...its perfect.

U know Sean...sometimes u talk as if u were in the same room as Elvis...like u really knew him...Strange...

Funny how the autopsy, and the combined medical expertise of Baptist Memorial Hospital's finest pathologists and the Tennessee State Medical examiner missed the glaring fact that Elvis "had a broken jaw".
Funny how a lot of these previously unknown (and unsubstantiated) "facts" come from one David Stanley.
I rank the allegation that Elvis' jaw was broken firmly alongside Dr. Nick's theory that Elvis died from a fatal karate chop which broke his neck; this too was missed at the autopsy. As was his bone cancer.
Anyway, if Elvis' jaw had to be broken because "he vomited" (does Stanley say exactly when this happened?) this would indicate he was alive at some point after he was discovered. According to Joe Esposito, Elvis was very dead when he was found as rigor mortis had already set in. This was confirmed by the autopsy which estimated Elvis probably died as early as 9am.
So for David Stanley to say a dead body which is in the stages of rigor mortis could vomit, this shows him to be ignorant of what really happened at Graceland that afternoon, ignorant of what happened in the autopsy room, ignorant of even the most basic of medical knowledge, ignorant of the autopsy findings, and most of all ignorant of his own stupidity!!!

Not got time to read all your post...kids and all...but what he was saying basically was that Elvis chocked on his own vomit.

As for the bone cancer?? This would have been discovered long before the autopsy...one would have hoped.
