| I'm sure a good number of us on here (particularly the ETAs) will be familiar with the great ebay trader VivaVegas. In just a few short years, he has built up a solid reputation as probably the premier ETA supplier with a wide range of garments which include: 68 Special black leather & If I Can Dream Suits, 57 gold lame jacket, Speedway jackets, resin copy of the gold International belt (more on this later), off-stage casual Elvis wear such as the powder blue press conference suit, puffy-sleeved shirts, belts and many, many jumpsuits including such harder-to-find suits (in good quality at any rate) such as the Peacock. Typically a very good quality jumpsuit could be bough for as little as £400, with the Aloha usually going for £800. But for a while he has not been trading, and I have just tonight noticed a legal statement on the website of B & K hinting that they have or are trying to shut him down. http://www.b-k-enterprises.com/sw.html If true, then we have lost a very, very popular and well respected supplier whose range and quality of products were amazing and whose prices were miraculous for the sheer quality of costumes. Now I myself have ordered from B & K in the past and it was always a very pleasant experience. If the copyright they hold to the designs on Elvis' costumes is as watertight as they are arguing, then I wonder what will happen to the rest of the competition- Jumpsuits Fit For A King, Rightstitch, PC Costumes, Will Reeb Designs etc? There are so many ETAs who would love a B & K suit, but because they are working to a budget it is impossible for them- so will there come a day when it wil be B & K or NOTHING? What about if ETAs make their own costume at home and for arguments sake they make their own replica of a very recognisable Elvis suit such as the Chinese Dragon...would they then be threatened with legal action on the grounds that their suit is not officially sanctioned by EPE (through B & K)?????

| That would be ashame if Ron Hertel has to quit!!! He has some realy good 2 piece suit's!! And the puffy sleeves i am also glad he is selling. I mean, nothing beats B-K, but for some suits a side the B-K ones, Ron Hertel has some GREAT deals!! Just like you write, are they going to stop all the Elvis-suit sellers???!! I think it is just about impossible to do. And i hope it dosnt happend. Specialy for the guys that just started out... | |

| There is no mention of any specific Company in the article and he is still trading on ebay. The article from BK could be about numerous companies or individuals. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/vivavegas777_W0QQQ5ftrkparmsZ72Q253A985Q257C39Q253A1Q257C66Q253A2Q257C65Q253A12QQQ5ftrksidZp3911Q2ec0Q2em14QQ_pgnZ1?_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 Rons page | |

| I can see both sides of the argument and I supose if I was BK I would be a lil peeved but not shocked, surely they know people have been selling Elvis replica wear since he was alive! But to stop people selling kits etc is going a lil too far in my opinion! We have had quiet a bit of stuff from BK including suits, shirts and jewllery and have always had a good service but we also use other suppliers who have been just as good here in the UK. Paul's wedding suit was the replica of Elvis's suit he wore to Sonny Wests wedding when he was best man, Im not sure if even BK offer this in their collection but I bet if they do it would cost a dam site more than what we got it for. It comes down to wether you want or can fit it in your budget to buy BK, as long as other companies arent claiming to be BK then surley its fair game? Im not sure of the legal side of things so I dont know but thats just how I feel. lol Thanks for making us aware of this JR, is very interesting and I will, as well as many others be curious to the outcome of this statement | |

| I`ve spoken to Janet at pcostumes - I was panicing a bit as I`m about to order a suit!!! She said it has been on Butches site for over a year. This is on Janets site... "Anyone can make a jumpsuit that looks like the jumpsuits that the King of Rock and Roll wore because the original designers didn't copy write the design's with in the time frame that the U.S. copy write office requires." So, to sum up, I think its panic over !!! | |

| I think BK should be had up for manopolising, if they cannot hack the competition then they should get out of the game. Its unfair to take legal action against other competitors and I for one will never buy another thing from BK and I will let them know that at Blackpool if they have the bottle to turn up. I got my Aloha suit from Rita at Jumpsuits Fit For A King and it was cheaper than BK, thats why I bought it, BK are manopolising because they want to sell at a higher price, so I say boycott BK and lets see how long it takes them to realise the customer is the one who keeps them going.
