| What do you think gives an ETA the essence of Elvis? Or to put it another way, if you went to see an ETA what would make you say 'wow' they are the closest Ive seen to Elvis? I know its hard to compare anyone to Elvis as there will never be another but has anyone gave you shivers or for that split second you thought 'that could have been him'? And what was it do you think it was that gave you that illusion? | |

| hi there i have ben doing my eta act for round 1 year now and i have never put on the jumpsuit gear nor dreesed up all i do is me and my backing tracks and give as best i can vocally as i dont think its the jumpsuits or the fancy lights that make you sing any better as people have said to me many atime put on some fancey jumpsiuts and my answer is it wont make me sound or sing any better so why do it i feel i can give a good night by just simply getting the voice right and no one then will foucas on all the lights or cloths but thats me if it works for others then great good luck but its not for me i think if your good enough vocallly then they will not be looking at your gear but listeing to you i would rather them talk bout my singing then my gear but if it works for others as i have said then thats fine | |

Ooops that didnt sound right But what I mean is I know ETAs are paying a tribute to Elvis but its nice to get a visual as well. I like to see an ETA with a tasteful jumpsuit/ Elvis style clothing with Elvisy hair and good moves and a good voice - but for me the voice isnt the first thing Id put on my list. I could go see the closest in voice to Elvis in the world but if he is just stood wooden with no charisma then Id rather go and put an Elvis CD on. lol! I mean dont get me wrong I have seen some ETAs perform who didnt wear jumpsuits including Jay Ashton, Big Jim White and many years ago Anthony Shaw and I mention these guys in particular as it didnt matter what they wore they pulled it off and I enjoyed them immensely but each one of them still had an Elvisy style, still had Elvisy moves and I think for me I will always need to see that. But Id love to be proved wrong | |

| I know for sertend kind of gigs they acspect you to wear a juimpsuit, but personaly, i do not like it.. (sorry guys) I think the only one who looks good in a jumpsuit is Elvis. And if you can put up a good tribute, keeping the memory of Elvis alive, you dont need the jumpsuit. | |

| Well the man for me as got to be Layton Sommers, for many never got to meet him and i was honered to work with him in Forever Elvis the UKs longest ever running musical. When me and Barry White went to pick Layton up from Kings Cross London as Layton could not drive, i don't think i was ready for what i was in for, When Barry said he's here i thought where, he was surrounded by people staring at him, i saw people put there hands over there mouths saying oh my god, he stopped the traffic where ever he went, i could not take my eyes of him, he was a really nice guy and we had some fun together, check him out on utube ( Elvis last interview Leyton Sommers, R.I.P buddy.
