What Will become of Graceland?

What do you think will become of Graceland once Lisa Marie retires? Do you think she will pass it on to her children or do you think it will be sold to someone else? Do you think they will keep things as they are now?
Also do you think that they might let people up stairs more often? I know the general public will never get to see the upstairs of Graceland as there is no way the stairs wouldn't hold all the visitors but do you think there will become a point, if the money was right, that they would allow people to take a trip up those famous stairs?

Well we know Nic Cage went upsairs but he had special dispensation on account of his marriage to Lisa! You raise a very good point though Lorna which had'nt occured to me before- the possibility of rather a large backhander being offered by people with enough money to view the upstairs...
I suppose it could happen but EPE does'nt need the money and I'm sure they would rather stick to their dignified postition which they have now that the upstairs should always be Private not only because f what happened there on Aug. 16 but also becuse in life, it was the one part of the house which was truly private for him.
I think it's better that some mystery remains instead of having people (secretly or otherwise) pay huge amounts of money to go up and rather morbidly gawk at the bathroom where tragedy happened. So I can't see this ever happening, Lorna.
It was a similar situation immediately after Elvis passed away- there was a lot of speculation regarding what would happen to Graceland mansion. Would it be passed to Lisa Marie? Would Vernon sell it? As it stands now, it is the Ground Zero of the Elvis world and also a sort of "bank vault" or storage chamber for Elvis' costumes, cars etc. So even if the area around it over the next few decades becomes more and more built up like an Elvis-Disneyland as some predict, I am sure Graceland will always stay the same.

Awww you know what JR I really hope so! With each generation comes more and more Elvis fans. He was just an amazing phenomenon that him and his music has no time line no age barrier on 'uncoolness'. He will always remain a legend and Im sure even our childrens children will wonder about Graceland and probably go visit it themselves

Well 1 thing is definate Lorna, Graceland makes a lot of money, it is 1 of the biggest tourist attractions in the USA it will never be sold, too many memories there as well, it will be in the Presley family i think forever, Lisa or EPE will never let it go will they, they will be out of a job for a start, no Graceland is Elvis & i don't think Lisa will let it go, ever.
