| I would have to say TTWII I think. He was a total gorgeous singing, dancing explosion on stage and even now, thow Ive watched it 100's of times, I still have to pick my jaw up off the floor. Just wish there was more footage out there as Id love to see him preform 'My babe' as its one of my fav songs of all time and I bet he gave it rock all in that performance | |

| From what we have on video i would have to say Aug 12th Midnight Show Vegas 1970. From what we have on audio i would choose March 25th 1961 Hawaiian Benefit Show. With perfect audio and if this was filmed, it would have blown away anything else before or after. | |

| Aloha Aloha Aloha. Love everything about it- the runway, the set design, the lights-everything! I always remember the moment when the first E-L-V-I-S lights up after CC Rider. Elvis was utterly majestic in this show. Of course all of the fans prefer something different which is what makes Elvis so fascinating is all his different facets. We all know he did'nt move around as much as TWII or even On Tour. But Aloha was all about SPECTACLE!! Aloha had Trilogy. Aloha had Also Sprach Zarathustra. And THAT cape!!! Aloha had also pretty much established the scarf ritual which was only just beginning around the time of TTWII. And the Aloha American Trilogy is at least the second-best he version he ever did in his life. Good thread this & I like your Comet suit, Rockin T. Very nice!

Agree with what you are saying. Just felt for me it was a little sedate and polished if you like. Not that that is a bad thing in itself it`s just, for me, I like the edginess of MSG and TTWII. The `68 special was a law unto itself to be fair and sets itself a little apart from the other concert stuff. You can`t knock the suit though. The Aloha suit is a spectacle in itself. Elvis also looked so damn good! Thanks for the comment on the suit. I`m so happy with it. Thanks to Neil Duncan for looking after me with it. One day I will have my very own Aloha suit but not until I feel I have earned the right to wear it.

| My favourite concert is the one I saw live...NYE l975 in Pontiac, Michigan. It might not be "Elvis' best" but it has the most sentimental meaning to me...and Elvis' version of America, along with the countdown at midnight (with 64,500 fans counting down also and then the place just erupting) still bring goosebumps when listening to them. My other favourite is also the Aloha, for many of the reasons others have mentioned above. Carol |

Carol I have that show on CD Carol. Lucky you to have actually been there. Not sure if you are aware of this but a threat against Elvis' life was taken seriously and extra police were on guard. A man was arrested in the audience carrying a pistol.

| Wow Carol, that must be etched in your mind for ever! I bet you never wanted that concert to end. Most of us can only dream of what it was like to see him live x I must admit I too love Madison Square Gardens, it has it all, plus it was the album we played at the hospital when I was having Ebony. Dont know what song she was actually born to but the whole album is even more special to me now | |

| The best show in my mind is December 29th and December 30th show in 1976. If you sit down and study elvis vocals and etc. He's pitch, power notes, and etc are the hardest, and strongest version of each song. I love the version of First Time I Saw Your Face and just him and the David Briggs beautiful! Love to all, Tim | |

Love to all, Tim Certainly that last tour he did in '76 was amazing.Yes, the Birmingham show (29th) and the Atlanta show (30th) are great to hear. He had lost quite abit of weight and looked and sounded great.Possibly cause he had just started seeing Ginger. Im hoping that a soundboard copy of the Pittsburgh show (31st) turns up.That version of 'Rags To Riches' is fantastic.

TCB Craig Hi Craig, I agree with you about Trilogy being the best version from the Aloha but could you tell me where you,ve seen all the footage from the Opening night Aug 10th 1970 please, especially 'Patch It Up'?

Keep Rockin' Craig Hi Craig, Sorry, i thought you was getting confused with the version from TTWII. I have all the footage from the Opening night thought thats what you meant, thanks anyway. Im eagerly awaiting for the release of TTWII-The complete works which has 6 CD's and 3 Dual-layer DVDs of all the known footage and audio from the 5 shows that was filmed. This will not be released officially by the way. I was up in Stoke in January when you was there. Was you one of the guys who took part in the contest? Im surprised an Official event were selling those DVDs. Hope they wasnt too pricey.

| Well for me, I love Aloha and Respect Elvis for the Concert as the pressure he must have been under to perform to all those people Via sat!! But for me it has to be Dessert Storm 74!!! or Lake Tahoe was one of the other venues I would have loved to have seen him live!! as he could be Elvis and not the Image rob | |
