talent contests

Hi guys,

have you or do enter talent contests other than just Elvis contests but still doing your ETA act?
the reason I ask is where I live they are holding a Nuneaton s got talent (smaller scale of Britains got talent) anyway theres a few people urging me to enter doing what i do with my ETA act. I did win a karaoke contest singing Elvis and a local stars in there eyes thing a few years back but never entered a all round talent contest. do you think that ETAs kinda get frowned upon with this kind of thing as theres so many. I dont think the likes of Simon Cowel ever has any time for Elvis guys does he but then again the Elvis guys that enter that from what I've seen always seem to be a little dodgy. Anyway like i say its small scale compared to that but I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this. I just don't know. however if anything it might be a good opportunity to drum up a little business.

Go for it, what have you got to lose, like you say, it is usually the disrespectful element who we always see enter these comps. So go there and give it your best mate to show joe public that Elvis tributes are not jokes
