Bono's Tribute to Elvis.........

I always thought that Bono from U2 was a big Elvis fan and I thought Id heard he had penned a tribute poem ages ago but never heard it so I was eager to hear it but am totally gobsmacked! He has managed to string together all superficial idiotic things that tiny minded Elvis haters could possibly say about him. Bono will never be loved or respected like Elvis was and without those stupid glasses who is he! Freak!

This poem "AMERICAN DAVID" is by no means a Whitewash of Elvis and his life- in fact in some parts it is brutally honest, and in other parts it is simply commenting on urban legends about Elvis.
In these parts, I am sure it is not a personal attack by Bono- but just part of an essay on the cultural phenomenon of Elvis.
