elvis and david bowie( golden years )

Hi i just came across a bit of send up of elvis and david Bowie doing golden years together on you tube. to be honest i dont think its in too bad taste or anything just a bit of fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsz2OsUnq-0&feature=related but i have to ask did Bowie really write Golden years intending for Elvis to sing in 1975?

i hope noone finds this insulting it's quite funny in parts. as i say say I dont think its meant to be mallicious not like some distasteful stuff on there but thats a different story. theres also one with john Lennon and a lennon and Bowie one too.

but just think what if Elvis would of sang this for real i think it would have been quite a cool song for him to sing . And also what If these 2 could of done a duet for real what would of been the song ?
