Members please read Should we have a Conspiracy Section ?

With the recent debates on here about did evlis fake his death etc etc and some are for it some are not the mods have discussed a Conspiracy section but we had tied votes so we thought we would ask your opinion please vote on the options below.

i would just like to add to this as paul has said we the mods have been discussing this subject at great length & have come to a tied desission. what are the pro's & con's to having a conspiracy section.....

pro's
1/ It keeps the subject tied to one section & not all over the browser
2/ If this subject offends you you will know to stay out of it ause of contents
3/ You would'nt just have to talk Elvis conspiracys you could come up with topics such as J.F.K. marlyin monroe, princess di, 911, Jack the ripper & so on

con's
1/ i have thought long & hard to find a con & personally the only one i can find is that some people find the did Elvis fake his death subject upsetting to say the least but also some people find it intreuging (think i spelt that right )so as ive said above it would keep the taboo subject confined to one place

i personally would like a conspiracy section not nessesaraly to discuss Elvis but mabye J.F.K. cause i find this subject really fascinating....just my humble opinion sorry if it has offended anyone

B.T.W dont be affraid to voice your opinions/concerns here about his subject as well as voting but please please please keep them respectful to others

people will read it anyway even if they dont voice their opinion..people will be intrigued by other peoples views ..so if it is to be sectioned they will still read it wether they are going to be offended or not..i will !!

healthy debate abd wishfull thinking come to my mind nothing wrong with chatting about other angles as i know that not one member would do anything to disrespect his memory at least thats one thing we all have in common

I think it is a subject that has been on most peoples minds at one time or another, even if it's pure fantasy or wishful thinking. Great idea for a thread as long as people's personal thoughts don't keep getting shot down in flames. Let's face it, nobody alive or dead really knows 100% about Elvis' life and death. If something that is untrue is said enough times by enough people it quite often becomes folk law. Most sound minded people listen to all of the arguments and form their own opinion, be it right or wrong.

Think i may give some good insight into this subject and explain and quash all those rumours.

As I said in my post above. This section will only work if peoples personal thoughts are not ''quashed'' by others whom know no better than the rest of us. Reading a book or two doesn't make a person an expert.

Just because this is an ETA site doesn't mean that some of us havn't read nearly every book, watched every video clip and met every one from Charlie Hodge to Dr Nick. Even Joe Esposito's accounts on what really happened on August 16th vary. If he can't get his so called facts right........ then who can?

I'll gladly take on board anybodys views but will never except someone spouting gospel unless they can back it up.

Quashing by those who are not an authority on these subjects will only lead to bad feeling.

Everyone deserves to express their own thoughts.

Should someones thoughts about Darwin be ''quashed'' by someone who believes in Adam and Eve? Fair enough if you was there at the beginning of time but not by back porch preachers.

Healthy debate is one thing, ''quashing'' is another. We havn't seen any quashing on here for a couple of months and it has been refreshing.

Lets wait till the section starts before attacking anyone's opinion's on this.

As for Joe Esposito's accounts on that day vary, i,ll explain that when the section starts.
I will also explain about the spelling on the stone, why Elvis' body looked like it did in his coffin,the weight of the coffin,and all the other questions anyone has got, i will be able to answer them when the section starts.

My contribution to this subject might help you and others learn a few things about Elvis.

Any questions anyone has on this subject i,ll be happy to answer them as well as i can in a respectful way, and anyone who disagrees with me can tell me why they disagree with me also in a respectful way, when the section starts.

Sophie and to all members reading this the reason why we put the poll up was because we couldn't decide the best way to go , so i think the poll lasts for 14 days what ever the outcome its you the members who have voted for it. What ever the result will happen on here for sure ! We are sure there will be people who are happy with the final result and those who are not happy but ultimateley its you the members who have the final say its your forum. So if you havent voted do so while you have the chance.

anything elvis related as long as it repsects the memory of elvis is allowed on here , we just thought i section would be a good idea so it keeps it in one place and if your against the subject its easy to keep away from from it or at least thats the theory lol

Yeah, its a good idea.

My opinion is that Elvis died on Tuesday 16th August 1977.
My opinion of those who believe otherwise is similar to my opinion of those who believe in god/gods.
However, I appreciate that, for some, Elvis' death provides a moot point.
There are those who believe he did not die that day, and their opinion will never change.
There are those who believe he did die, and their opinion will never change. Any discussion involving both of these poles of opinion inevitably turns sour and serves as much purpose as a cow on its way to the abattoir wondering what its going to do tomorrow.

We only have 19 votes on this and i'm sure we have more than 19 members , come on guys and girls your vote is private what ever you choose.
