Wednesday 3rd March 2010 is the 50th anniversary of the only visit Elvis made to the uk.
It was a stop at Prestwick airport Ayrshire home for the 1631 USAF unit, at the time of the Kings visit in 1960.
Elvis was being flown home to the USA from Germany where he did his military service.
Prestwick is now home to The Royal Navy search and rescue at HMS Gannet.
To celebrate this anniversary there will be a "Welcome to Prestwick Show"
to be held on 3rd March 2010 at the Prestwick Academy asembley room theatre, 1-15 Newdykes road, Prestwick.
The show starts at 7.30pm to co-inside with the time Elvis flew in.
There is Tribute artists, Dancers, Audience participation and special guests.
at 9pm refreshments will be available to buy, tea coffee, pop, pie peas , crisps, anything stronger you will have to supply yourself,
The show ends at 11pm and Elvis leaves the building,
It will close with a mass Candlelight sing a long, pipe band and involvement from US and HMS Gannet
