| I also believe this. There is no question that Elvis Presley escaped from Graceland in the summer of 1977 through the tunnels and tried to take with him 249 other men,and those who managed to escape were famouse celebrities Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson,James Garner, Richard Attenbough, Gordon Jackson, James Coburn and various other men disguised in German army uniforms. The Memphis Police contacted all Police Forces in the Tennessee State to find these men, some were caught and some escaped on Motorbikes, Planes and some were helped by the Florida resistance and were never seen again, possibly now living in Europe. The ones who were caught were handed back to the Memphis Police Force and were punished by listening to Pat Boone records for 3 whole days!!! Elvis Presley was one of only a handful of men who was never caught, he is believed to be now living in North Wales according to a new book by Gail Georgio. Anyone interesting in obtaining this book please contact Police Sargent Mr.G.Ullible at 999 Letsby Avenue, Swansea,Wales and with this book is a free consultation with a professionally trained psychiatrist. He is very good. I went to see him last week and said to him 'I wonder if you can help me out?' and he replied 'Well, which way did you walk in?' On a serious note, lets not believe all these rumours in books that have been brought out over the years, all they do is line the pockets of people who want to cash in on Elvis' legacy. | |

| Yep, they escaped with the Von Trap family. What a load of rubbish, think I would rather read the Sunday Sport. | |

| Elvis escaped and is now living with me On a more serous note...id rather believe what I read in some books than other certain sourses of So- Called information which is just biggoted and really rather childish. As ive said before peeps...some belive in god...I dont but if it makes them happy then, thats up to them. If Elvis died in 1977...why do we have all these books and infor mation telling us other wise. The book also tells me of other certain things that have happened which may have been orhastrated by higher orthorities...but this cant be true can it!!! | |

The book also tells me of other certain things that have happened which may have been orhastrated by higher orthorities...but this cant be true can it!!! Well, the most obvious reason why we have all these books is cause they make the author's alot of money. Dont waste any of your money on these books. This has been discussed several times and it still hasnt sunk in and its not upto me to changed your mind but why keep bringing this up on the forum, to try and change our minds? It aint gonna happen!! Elvis never faked his death for so many reasons, his young daughter, his father who was ill at the time, his other family members, his friends, his millions of fans. Im sure the people that bring out all these rumours could sell snow to the Eskimos.

| They may need it if global warming continues...as for the books ive not got many about Elvis so called faked death most are big hardback books with really lovely pictures in them. The book I was refering to came from the library at college...so its not a bad book, its not trying to change minds...as mine is already made up. I mean if you look into the death of the Princess Of Wales...youll find something not quite right. Just like the 'death' of Elvis...there is lots of things lots actually which are not quite right. | psssssssst i got a secret to tell everyone !!! i know it's going to upset some of you and may even shatter some of your dreams but ........ ELVIS IS DEAD ! i am with Garry , this is totally disrespectful to Elvis , Elvis loved to perform , he lived for the feel of his audience , he loved his family , he loved and adored Lisa Marie , does anybody think that Elvis , knoing how much he adored Lisa , would have put her through 33 years of ridicule from the press and media ?? Could he have stayed away from the fans for so long ?? As Sean said these books are just cheap easy money making schemes who dont care what rubbish they throw out , they take advantage of the more gullable fan who will pay anything to buy anything and everything to do with The King , it's like the stories of how he died , what does it matter , let our hero rest in peace and let everyone else enjoy his legacy and remember him for the great , fantastic man and entertainer he was | |

| the other side of it is , if Elvis did fake his death and disapear ( he did'nt ) maybe he did it because he wanted to be left alone , so if we are true fans we should respect our hero's wishes and let him die in 1977 , this is such garbage it's unbelievable , i have to put up with idiots every other week talking about this subject and not asking me but telling me what " really happened " my days of smiling politely have gone , anyone who is a true fan of Elvis would know how ridiculous all this is | |

I find Im always looking for answers...just like the others. The 'I think if anyone wants to talk about theses issues they can on here', is not a decision for you to make. This topic has been made clear in the past that everyone is board with it . People might find the odd comment that pops up in the paper and show everyone on here what is being said but to keep banging on about is as everyone has said is boring and disrepectful. My suggestion would be to start another forum for people who think this topic is worth talking about. We were going to start the conspiracy section but found people did,nt want it. This topic has now ended.

| Was there ever a decision made as to wether or not we were going to allocate a special section on here to the Is Elvis Alive theories? There was talk some time ago about it, but nothing was resolved...? Personally I have no problem with this subject and am always happy to debate it with anyone. But then again, it's easy to see how it can cause genuine offence to those fans who have had it up to here with this topic! I feel that it's too big a subject to ban outright after all the books, documentaries, supermarket tabloids, public hysteria etc. etc. Even some members of the Memphis Mafia have got involved in the "Is Elvis Alive" industry over the years so it's a pretty big phenomenon. So maybe it's time to just make a new section for it. | |

| I dont see any reason to even discuss this subject. Cant believe anyone who calls themselves a genuine fan can take this seriously and it is an insult to the many ETAs/fans who come on this site. There is not one member of the Memphis Mafia who claims that Elvis faked his death. | |

I also think that many more people have made more money about the so called way Elvis died revealing some very personal so called facts, than other have impying Elvis death was faked. Things that if I knew would be kept private really. things that arent very pleasent to read or even think about. And..thank you for being understanding...I have nothing to gain from how I feel other than my genuine love for Elvis. Sophie.

| Firstly as a Elvis fan i don't want to see this insult to Elvis he died in 1977 ! Secondly as EddieP said if just say if he did fake his own death which he didn't !! As fans we should respect his wishes and leave him in 1977. Thirdly we did do a pole on here about a section on conspircy etc but as we are a official Fanclub to Elvis presley Enterprizes we took advice and was advised not a good idea , not that i needed to be told that common sense prevaled !!. So like Val said the subject is ended. | |

There is not one member of the Memphis Mafia who claims that Elvis faked his death. I dont think thats really true. As for the subject...to be fair to me... Paul B did a poll was it last year and asked who wanted to talk about this issue on here...and its allowed. So we can talk about it if we want, thats official from paul himself.

| Paul...last year you did say we could if we wanted, u know others have talked about this issue as well as me. I know many didnt vote...but I did. Its not degrading or insulting at all...and also nothing to do with respecting ETA's, its about Elvis Presley...there is only one of him. | |
