CONVENTION/CONTEST THE OLYMPIA, LIVERPOOL, 23rd -25th JULY

It is with deep regret that we have to inform you that the Elvis ETA Contests at Rainton Meadows, Durham & The Olympia, Liverpool are being postponed to a later date.
As you are aware Dave has had some serious health problems of late with a recent heart attack and now diabetes & severe kidney problems. We feel that the amount of time and effort needed to arrange and organise these events cannot be well served as Dave has numerous hospital appointments to attend on a regular basis and as there is only the 2 of us organising these events, I feel that the undue stress will cause either a decline in Dave's health or further health problems for him.
We are actually deeply disappointed that some people have shown their true colours and have their own agenda for their own interests and not for the overall events, we have been hurt to think that some peoples own self interest has come before Dave's health.
We would also like to thank those who have been understanding and sent their best wishes and regards to Dave.
Once Dave's health has improved and becomes stable we shall reshedule these events.

It is a shame it has been cancelled, events can be always re-organised, your health and well-being is the most important thing. Hope Dave gets well soon.
