| Good question! I have set up an account on google - lorna.elvisisinthebrowser@gmail.com Very lengthy but was the best I can do. Think I set up some accounts a while ago but cannot get into those! Lol! Was thinking of emailing a few places and see where we get as to venues and things, possibly in the blackpool area first and then maybe take it a bit further if nothing is found. I will pass on everything here. I will be working on the last week in November and the first 2 weeks in December. Please let me know if any of these are not good for you, but obviously its just to put the feelers out for the mo anyway | |

| Just an idea, if we struggle to get a christmas party arranged. Would it be worth putting everything in to doing the Charity event. Maybe Valentines weekend at that hotel in York or is it in Yorkshire. | |

| Right, I have contacted the Sandygate hotel and have put the following. It does look good but lets see what they say and what deals they can do for us. I will defo contact some Blackpool ones today also:
Dear Sir/ Madam
I am the Events Administrator for Elvis is in the Browser Fan club & online forum www.elvisisinthebrowser.com and I am currently looking for a new venue to hold our annual Christmas showcase. I have browsed your website and am very impressed with the services you provide and think it could be ideal for our future events.
The dates we have in mind for Christmas are one of the following weekends:
26 – 28 Nov 10 03 – 05 Dec 10 10 – 12 Dec 10
At our events, usually held over a full weekend, there are normally between 60-100 of us – although we like to stay in the same place we can be flexible on accommodation as some of our members may be willing to stay at another venue near- by if needed.
We put on Elvis and Rock and Roll showcases and would therefore need a function room - to be used for our professional artists to perform. We also have karaoke/ disco at the end of the night. We normally ask if there is possibility of a late bar and ideally the venue has to be child friendly. We do have our own sound and lighting equipment etc.
If your venue could accommodate us please provide us with the following information: Dates available How many rooms you have available Prices for single, double and family rooms The availability and charge for the function room
If Christmas is a problem we are also looking at other dates throughout 2011 for our fan club events, the next possibly being Valentines weekend.
We would be happy to speak with a representative of your organisation to discuss matters further.
Many thanks
