| Just wanted to say I have got a signed scarf from Pete Storm which Chris collected for me when he saw Pete couple of weeks ago (I am still trying for his gold thong but dont think it will be forth coming hehe) And also, while Chris and I were away on our little holiday (it rained every day!!! poured down!!!) we managed to get to see a show by Mark Memphis King - am hoping Mark will join us here on the browser, he is quite new to being an ETA and I have told him this is a good place for help advise and sharing etc.. Hes a realllyyyyyy nice bloke!!! so nice he is when I asked for a scarf for our auction he said I can do better and gave me a signed CD |

| Yeah, way to go Michelle. All we need to do now is arrange the date and venue. Once we have this arranged we can register the event with Men Matters and the Stroke Association. | |

| Just a thought & sorry if you think I'm sticking my nose in but what do you think about auctioning or raffling Pete's big scarf off in Birmingham on the finals night..?? I mean what better place..??? All the eta's from that weekend will hopefully have signed it so it will be very appealing to that audience & what an audience ur talking in excess of a 1000 + people so loads of wonga to be had for the said causes..!!! Just my thoughts...
P.s. I'm sure mike king won't mind us doing this after all there exceptionally good causes

| yes great idea and actually a raffle would probably be a great idea as at say a quid a ticket everyone would likely afford to havea ticket and have as much chance of winning it - do you think Michael will agree to us doing that - it shouldnt affect anything if we sell the raffles in our own time etc..
Rest of what we colelct you could do at browser meet up - I do think Petes scarf idea is awesome and will raise a lot of wonga - We really need to speak to Michael - does anyone know him personally?? |

| Great idea Garry, would we be allowed to auction other things aswell? Did ask someone to do something for us to auction (not telling you what), but can ask them earlier if we can auction it in January. We can see if there are little breaks inbetween everything to auction in and out. | |

| I have a feeling they will be on a pretty tight schedule in Jan and not sure they will let us acution, plus we havent gathered all our stuff yet - I think the raffle thing on the scarf would be great though because I bet about everyone would buy a quid ticket and we could do that so as no to impede on the comp - but ya never know dont know till ask Chris just said could even do something in the bar in the evening auction wise?? I really think the raffle for Petes big Scarf will raise a lot of money - I cant see many people saying no to a quid for a raffle ticket - and it wont impinge on any of the activities wow could make a good few hundred quid on that !!! wouldnt it be great if the winnder of comp drew the raffle winner hehe - |

| woohooo nice one Pete - i really think raffle will raise the best amount and it gives everyone a chance to win - not everyone has a lot of cash at moment but everyone can likely afford a pound for a raffle ticket - and with like 500 people plus it could be a really big amount rasied - not sure what everyone else thinks. I havea few bits for when you have a weekender and do an auction. unfortunately not a lot has come in - i got a scarf from pete Storm ive been trying to get his thong lol but i dont think thats gonna happen lol - I will see what i can get from my Chris, darren is gonna get us a scarf from Doug and some bits from himself, lisa has said Chris Connor will donate something and Paul the decals and im sure malcolm and some otehr etas will come up with some bits and bods o may ahe some bits for the next weekender or something too. I am gonna havea sort thru my bits I am sure i have some doubles on books and bits and have a musical plate (if i dont break it briging it) you can have maybe got a some other stuff will have to have a look - But I really do think your scarf idea Pete is excellent once!!! and could raise well thank you thank you and thanks please to Sue for makiing it I know you said your happy to get it all signed but am happy to go around with it and get some siggies if help needed. oh sell the raffles Oh yes and I am gonna sponsor Val or Mike 20 quid tee hee So glad Michael has agreed to it. it will be a very special scarf one i think everyone would love a chance to win and help charity at same time - |

It was such an awesome idea Pete had and garrys about the raffle and doing it at birmingham:) and I will start getting onto folks about the things for the auction at a weekender, it will probably be too much to do that at birmingham I think.. but soemthing for later in the year all the same.. |

| Pete, I know you mentioned before getting in touch with the charities to let them know what we are planning on doig etc.. I have never did anything like this before, except at work I run a little tuck shop i but stuff when its on special offer sell it cheaper then the shops at work and the profits I send to the local hospice. Had a count up this morning and have £210 in my pot not bad making 5p on a pack of crisps lucky we are all piggies at my work. anyways what I am asking is - do you want for me to contact them? or have you? do we need like a cover letter from them or something to show its all legit or do we just do our fund raising then send them the money?? I have just had a text from Chris, who is out to dinner with Pete Storm at the moment and wowee I think I may have secured somethin from him lots of ladies would like to own teehhee but dont wanna get too excited incase they are winding me up lol... I am also trying for a couple of tickets Pete is giving away on his fan site - told him so a not to disapoint all the ladies who would like them why dont he give them to me to auction for our charity thing x so not sure if i gonna get the tickets or the other thing - lol i wil llikely end up with nothing and be gutted hehe - just think its a bit of fun and anything we can raise is great Still cant beat your diea thoug woweee i am so sure thats gonna raise a lot of money - you area genius!! |

| Michelle, are we going to just do the scarfs at Birmingham and the rest at a weekender as we dont want to interfer too much with there proceedings and then not have anything for our weekender. | |

| i think it best if we just raffle the scarf in birmingham ,i have been intouch with the stroke association (stroke awarness comes under there umberella )and they think it is a fantastic idea, Jacqui Frost is the donation superviser and also a massive Elvis fan so i am sending her a link to the browser so you never know we may get a new member out of it . here is the link to the association. www.stroke.org.uk it gives details of were to send the donation to they wish us all the best with our fundraiser

| I think Pete is right we should just raffle the big scarf at Birmingham we can sell our tickets without it interfering with anything and maybe we can draw it on the saturday sometime - maybe we wil lbe lucky and Michael or someone of the showcases or winner will pick the lucky winner for us Do we need to be in touch with mens matters or shall we just send the donation when we have it with explanation as to how we got it?? I think the individual scarves from the ETAs and bits they are going to give us and the other things donated we can save and auction or raffle at one of the weekenders? if everyone agrees - val, garry pete or someone because I cant guarantee i wil lget to a weekender if i bring any bits i have to donate with me can i leave them with you until weekender - i dont want anything to get broken or lost if I post them. I really think that Petes scarf is gonna make a good amount ) i am so pleased Michaels agreed to it - I am currently trying to riase a bit from Petes Storms infamous Golden Thong, lol so far I have sold about 7 balls which is £14 hoping it will be more than that but even the little amounts all add up and help Huggs to you all |

| I got an envelope here with £24 in it that I got on Pete storms Golden Thong - I will bring it to Birmingham with me - to be honest it didnt go as well as I had hoped but even so still £24 in the kitty - oh yer and if i win it - Ill get him to sign it and maybe it will go for something at an auction - haha especially if i can persuade him to model it!!! - I was really quite surprised not more people joined in but i spose some could seen it as a tad uncouth - hehe - just wanted to raise some pennies is all..
