| Hi Mikey, We not going but I saw him in Southport about 5 years ago and thought he was really good. We wernt expecting much because the ticket prices were really cheap but we were pleasantly suprised. After seeing him on The Worlds Greatest Elvis last year etc Im sure he has come on even more. Would be really interesting to see what kind of show he does now. Hope you have a great time hun and if you could put up a review that would be great | |

I take it you mean Lee Memphis King not Joppo ? Did you ever get any more crap over the name thing? Lol! OK Joppo point taken. I have heard very mixed reviews about him, some say he was great, some say he wasnt all that. All that I can say is that it was a long time ago we went to see him and I think we paid a fiver for like a 3 hour show so we werent expecting much but he did put on a good show. Would like to see him again to see how he compares but as for talking to him, I never have (I think lol). I think some times it can spoil the whole experience if you meet the man behind the tribute, especially if they dont turn out to be the guy you expect them to be - though I have met and am friends with many ETAs and they are great on and off stage lol! Will be interesting what you think of him Micky and Im looking forward to reading your review

| I`m sure Lee King and his team are only trying to protect their business. If I were you Craig, I would take it as a compliment. | |

If I were you Craig, I would take it as a compliment. How can you take harassment such as that as a compliment? I think he is being a bully. With all due respect to the Memphis King from the Browser, I don't think his show is going to do much damage in terms of tickets sales to Lee 'Memphis' Kings show. Just let the lad get on with it. He's picking on the little guy. I've heard he did the same kind of trick to Gordon Hendricks early on as well. Didn't really succeed with that though @ Lee 'Memphis' King

| Joppo, in this situation u have 2 choices.
- Look at the negative
- Look at the positive.
If I was Craig, I would look at the positive side. I set up a recruitment agency in 1998 and sold it in 2004, so I have a strong business background. I think this will help me alot when I go full time doing this. Now from a business angle any competition will be looked at. I would guess they will look at the fact Craig is playing theatres, doing an Elvis tribute show, and his stage name contains the name `Memphis King` (probably their biggest issue) I`m not taking sides, but being in business you must look at it from the other persons angle and take out any kind of emoticon - what are they thinking, why are they doing this, etc If I were Craig I would probably contact Lee`s management and find out what their issue is - sometimes you will be suprised by their response. Just my thoughs from a business, not an emotional, perspective

| I know what you're saying Mike, I think calling yourself something so similar (or the same!) as a rival is asking for trouble a bit. But the degree with which he is attacking Craig, if true, is a little OTT! From a business point of view I suppose he is right but with his apparent reputation does he really need to bother? | |

Micky Vegas TCB Glad you had a great time Micky, yeh would be really interested to hear your review at the weekend I think it is a lil OTT to go put things in the paper etc etc and following the other act round, doesnt sound very professional. Hope your not loosing too many bookings because of it.

| Hi Guys
Not on here to pick fault with any ETA, It is between two guys and its up to them two to sort it out themselves and without interference or comment from any of us. Craig its up to you to sort this out without involving any of us. Sorry but thats the only FAIR way.
As promised my reveiw of Lee Memphis King at Buxton Opera House.
The show started at 7.30pm, Firstly Buxton Opera House is a brilliant venue, we had seats in the stalls on row J, which is 10 rows from the front, yet it seemed so close to the stage, the whole place is like a tardis, its big yet you never seem too far away from the stage. Anyway we got seated and there was two video screens either side of a huge Elvis Light on the back drop, the stage was so deep, on the video screens they were playing clips from BBC's Worlds Best Elvis Competition, which Lee Finalised in. As Vernon Kay announced Lee Memphis King on the video out he came on stage in Black pants and white jacket with white shoes and got straight into Blue Suede Shoes, he did about 5 songs in this era of the 50's/60's, then he left stage while the backing band and singers, who where brilliant, sang How Great Thou Art, then the music changed to the 68 comback theme tune from the 68 comback show, he came on stage and got the 3 other guitarists to come to the front of the stage and they sat on chairs right at the lip of the stage, all I can say is it was like watching the video of Elvis in the 68 Comeback, absolutley fantastic, he opened with Lawdy Miss Clawdy. Then when he had done about 6 or so songs they all went back to their places on stage and Lee went off stage while the backing singers did G I Blues. He then came on in the 2 piece white If I Can Dream Suit and sang If I can Dream. That was half time, after a tipple at the bar we sat down 15 mins later and on came 2001 Space Odessy and the drum roll, then on came Lee in the Concho Jumpsuit, he strutted the stage as Elvis did and picked up his guitar and reeled off See See Rider. The rest of the show was great, he did all the favourites and even had all the joking with the band and the audiance. His voice is amazing although I think Elvis's Early years songs suit him better, he sounded more true to Elvis in them songs, but the mannerisms, moves and show where great. A brilliant night and I would deffo go see him again
