After seeing Doug Church for the 2nd time on Saturday I urge those who have never seen him to grab tickets for what will be his last show in the U.K tomorrow at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham. (Those who have seen him before will know exactly what i mean!!!)

Tickets are £18.50 & concesions are £17. Joining Doug are the best Elvis Tribute Band in the busines RED ALERT who will also be supported by the Passionettes an amazing female duo. Red Alert compliment Doug brilliantly and the show on Friday was simply awesome Tickets can be bought or reserved online at

http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/17004154CF98A6F5?brand=uk_livenationtheatre&camefrom=CFC_UKAFF_CCE1_CLEAR

Or you can phone the box office on 0870 607 7533.

This really is a show not to be missed, The atmosphere in Ebbw Vale on Friday was simply ELECTRIC and the boys from RED ALERT did themselves, Doug and everyone who knows them proud

Hi to you too Paul hope you are well . . . . . . and yep the show was a cracker! Very Happy

A few critisisms tho - Rolling Eyes
The band 'Red Alert' was I thought a bit loud and couldn't hear Doug as much as I wanted too (That was not the bands fault but down to the sound crew) Red Alert are a great bunch of guys and very entertaining to watch.
The lighting was basic (in my own personal opinion) and they had 2 stupid floor cans blaring what must of been 1000 watts each of white light into the audiences eyes! Shocked Didn't seem as though much thought had gone into the lighting -
When they used them everyone had to look away and miss what was happening on stage. Not very good planning by the lighting guys at all. No

However -

Doug Church was excellent and the girl singers they had were fantastic on the harmonies - good strong voices and obviously knew what they were doing. I was impressed. I wasn't keen on what they wore and I think some nice classy dresses would of been better suited.
Poor old Darren H wasn't well at all - but still gave it his all doing a great 50's set and later coming out in the 'If I Can Dream' suit to sing as a duet with Doug.
Finally met Daz - which was nice!

Good to meet up with some from the forums (and Facebook) although it was brief and not much time to talk.

I thought The Alexandra Theatre was a superb venue with parking nearby. Shame it wasn't as full as it could've been but I think most people left having witnessed a great show. Very Happy
