Indianapolis 1977 WAS filmed!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been alleged on a very reliable website that Elvis' last-ever concert was filmed as part of the CBS Special and that the footage is in the EPE archives.
They say 2 cameras were used at Indianapolis and AT LEAST 20 minutes was professionally recorded (there is probably more- why would they go to all the trouble of setting up, only to film 20 minutes; it does'nt make sense).
What are EPE waiting for?????


There are also extraordinary rumours that CBS footage exists of Elvis at Graceland as well as ...........WAIT FOR IT.......an interview with the King at Graceland's poolside!!!
I know that EPE will probably never release the normal version of the CBS Special (at least while Priscilla is still alive, anyway) never mind all this extra material- but it just makes you think what else do EPE have in the vaults?
I tell you something, I believe the version of the CBS Special we have all seen on the bootleg DVDs or on YouTube is not at all what the Special would have been like had Elvis lived.
Sure, this is the version they rushed out and put on TV but I believe there would have been an Interview with Elvis as well as footage from a THIRD show- possibly Indianapolis or from the show at PERSHING MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM where we know they filmed the outside of the building as we saw it in "This Is Elvis". Again, why would they do to the trouble of having the cameras film the OUTSIDE of the building and then not bother to film the show!

Now this is confirmation from 2 seperate and RELIABLE sources concerning 2-6 hours of missing CBS 1977 footage!

WOWWWW!!!! This is HUGE news and a dream come true for any True fan of the King!!!!

There is probably a lot more in them vaults than we would ever know. Would be nice to see some new footage.

I know for a fackt that there is so much materiall out there (they say that there is still materiall that they can bring out for the next 10 years!!) that we have not seen yet.
It is a shame!!
Hopefully they will bring out some new stuff.
And it would be very exiting to see this Indianapolis '77!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trust me there is SO MUCH material still to be released!! You would'nt believe what is locked up in the vaults!!
But for me personally, the Holy Grail is the Indianapolis concert. If there is ANY professional footage of this show- either from CBS of Indiana TV news then it should be released because of it's huge historical importance ie. the last-ever concert of Elvis Presley.
Even watching just the amateur YouTube footage of this show I find very emotional....

So there is a lot more PRO quality film of Elvis which really should be released for the fans...NOW!!!!!

Gosssssshhh, that would be sooo amaizing, if a DVD would come out of Indianapolis!
Johnny couldnt believe his ears, when i told him that it DID got filmed.
He started mombeling about EPE.
And i think he is right, why in the world they dont release it???!!!
I already get tears in my eyes, when he sings 'Unchained Melody' on the piano.
But this, to watch this, it must be soooo hardbreaking to see.
Pppfff filmed in '74 and '75 and not be released neighter, i realy, realy think it is a shame!!!
Dont they know, how happy the fans will be, just to get this on DVD??!!

Hi Essie, yes EPE do know how the True Elvis fans would be hapy to have the CBS Special on DVD; but it is the press and the general public who EPE are concerned about watching it. This is what EPE say about it:

This special and its related footage are owned by EPE.
The 1977 television special Elvis in Concert, which was shot during Elvis' last concert tour in June of 1977 (not actually the last concert itself as Vernon Presley indicated in a statement at the end of the special) aired a couple of times on network television and parts of it, and additional footage shot during the production of it, have been used in various television and video documentary projects over the years. However, much to the disappointment of a number of fans, we have no plans for releasing a home video of the Elvis in Concert material at this time.
Because of the severity of Elvis' health problems at the time the special was shot, Elvis was far from his best in the way he looked and the way he performed, though there are some truly brilliant moments in the footage. The true fans look at this through the eyes of love, respect and understanding, and see the great historical value - as do all the members of our staff. But, this not so with much of the general public and the media. It's not that we don't want the fans to have this footage or that we don't know how much it would mean to them. We do. There just simply is no way to get it only to the real fans (and we've exhausted all kinds of ideas) without also having Elvis served up to the general public and press for ridicule. They already emphasize and exaggerate the tragedy and sadness of the last years of his life too much. Right now, the emphasis for us is to remind them of all that came before.
We receive many calls, letters and E-mails from fans pushing for us to release this footage on home video. There is not a single argument in favor of our releasing it that has come from fans that hasn't come up amongst our management team. We talk about it at length periodically. Up to now, some members of the management team who decide these things have not become comfortable with releasing it. Perhaps that could change someday. For now, our position remains as explained herein. "Not now" does not necessarily mean "not ever". We'll see. In the meantime, we truly understand, respect and appreciate and share on so many levels the feelings of those fans who want the 1977 material released.
In the meantime, we continue to use clips from the 1977 special as appropriate for historical context and completeness in documentary projects and exhibits.

I think it is nonsens!
The King, is and always stay's the King.
And even people that are not fans, they have (mostly) respect for him.
The ones that do make those rediculess comments, dont know where they talking about (probebly Michael Jackson fans or so).
Just becourse some people gave some critesim, dont mean that the rest of the world dont love to hear and watch him!
He may have been in bad shape, but his voice always remained.
It was a part of his life, so it realy think they should give it out!!
