From dust and memories then back to the stage, Elvis lives again. Jesse Aron, 32, of Wisconsin is a second generation Elvis tribute artist who has returned to Texas.
Aron is a live Elvis impersonator who is known around the country for his talent. He performs nationwide and in areas of Canada.
Aron's Elvis adventure began when he was around three years old. He grew up with his mom and dad being in a band. Aron would take his dad's records of Elvis and sing them in his room.
"I was shy at that age," said Aron. No one saw his talent until he was around 23. "After then the performances began to take off," said Aron.
The show will consist of the 50's - 70's music. A new role portrayed will be Roy Orbison. "Every Halloween I would add a new role to my Elvis one," said Aron. "I had such a great response with Orbison that I decided to bring him back."
Aron does not just put on a show to entertain, but also to teach. "I want to educate the audience," said Aron. During his performances Aron gives tid-bits of information about Elvis that the audience may have not known.
"I try to be respectful of Elvis, while bringing memories back to the fans," said Aron. "I have had fans who may have been having a hard time in their life when coming to my performance. And they said that when I sang the music of Elvis it helped them to get through their problems."
In 2003, Aron competed to achieve the status of an "International Winner." He is a two time grand prize winner at Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Potawanomi Casino Event. He has won numerous competitions and performed at many events.
Aron will perform the last concert of his Texas Tour 2008 at the East Texas Jamboree in Broaddus March 28 at 7 p.m. For ticket information call Steve Fountain at (832)- 623-4812.
