The German Elvis Presley Club MV will have their 2nd ‘Rostock Elvis Festival’ from October 2 untill October 4 2008.

The festivities will be launched at October 2 with a ‘Come Together’-party, welcoming all Elvis-fans. The right setting will be created by an Elvis-DJ.

Friday October 3th will have a large Las Vegas Show with Oliver Steinhoff. Special guest is Dick Grob. He was a Memphis Maffia member from 1969-1977. Dick Grob was associated with Elvis Presley for over ten years, served as his personal bodyguard and Chief of Security on every tour, trip and almost everywhere else.

After Elvis' death, he remained with the estate for a time as Director of Security, working directly for Elvis' father, Vernon Presley. Grob, an Air Force officer, served over ten years in law enforcement. Presently, he operates his own successful consulting business. During his career in law enforcement he received specialized training from the FBI and worked security details in personal and dignitary protection.

He also, on occasion, worked with the CIA. His credentials were well established when he took over protection for his friend, Elvis. During the after show party, Grob will take the time to share his memories with fans and answer their questions. Als 2nd special guest, Helmut Radermacher will be at the event. Helmut is known for his radio show and Elvis magazine ‘Golden Boy Elvis’. Visitors of the show also have access to a special temporary Elvis museum with some original clothing of the King.

Fans of the Rock and Roll era are welcome on Saturday October 4, during the ‘Rock and Roll Party – 50 years later’ that kicks off at 20h. Two live bands are playing all original 50s and 60s songs.

The festivities are based on two locations in Rostock (200km East of Hamburg), in ‘Schallmauer’ and ‘Theater des Friedens’.
