| Should EPE replace the TCB band and The Sweet Inspirations with performers who never worked with Elvis?
Elvis The Concert is the absolute closest to an authentic Elvis concert- but obviously the show can't go on forever in it's current form. Should the show continue? And if so, how different would the experience be with a different bnd and singers? I saw the very first one at Wembley Arena in the late 90s and several more over the years and yes, seeing all the original cast does have an emotional impact. But there is no doubt that it is the image of Elvis which dominates the stage. EPE are improving this sho all the time- remember the new helicopter arrival intro starring Shawan Klush? And the hologram of Elvis which actually "walked" across the stage.....amazing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y41AJPfQqCE
But a new cast....? What do you guys think? | |

| Then u would have ETM`s - Elvis Tribute Musicians!!! It is a difficult one. I watched Queen with Paul Rodgers on TV a few days ago. They had a different bassist, but Queen are a band, albeit with Freddy being the main person. They played a video of Freddy doing the start of Bohemian Rap. Thinking about it, I think it would take a massive amount away from the show if it was not the origionals. | |

| Well, the two London shows that are planned for in Febuary, will not have Elvis' original bass player Jerry Scheff in the line-up. He has pulled out of the European Tour. | |

| I think eventually it will end up being other people doing the band, if they phase them in that would be better but if they want it to carry on eventually it would have to change and it still gives people a chance to see what Elvis was like. | |

| I think what would be good in the future is if the line-up would consist of famous musicans who never performed with Elvis, like some of today's famous musicans. Saying that, alot of today's musicans cant play any instruments. | |

| If they ever get to the stage of projecting on stage so it looks like there really there maybe they won't need new people lol. Could you imagin how this would look you could be stood in front of a virtual Elvis and band members as hough they are actually there wow i would pay to see that. Paul. | |

| Personally Then I think it would be like a TCB tribute band but the sweet inspirations added Portia in the 90s so i guess they may add new guys espicially if Jerry wont be there also they will need a replacement, it wont be the same for me with new members but then again its about keeping the music alive! Anyone going to the Birmigham one on here? if so see you there |

| I went to the very first one at Wembley back in 1999 I think it was and it was a full complement on stage and the electricity in the air was unbelievable. Very sadly, not long after this show, Sylvia had a stroke and was subsequently replaced with newcomer Portia. I have a really good close-up photo I took of Sylvia and I have often wondered how she is doing now as we don't seem to hear much about her these days. | |
