Don't know any details but i have just found out Myrna Smith as died RIP Myrna you will be well looked after now Elvis has his Sweet inspiration by his side

OMG nooooooooooooooooooo this is terrible news , having met her on many occasions she was a lovely sweet lady who had time for her fans and elvis fans alike.

The first time i met her i didn't relise who she was , my friend introduced me to her and i was like oh nice to meet you wondering why my mate was introducing her to me , my mate said you don't know who she is do you so i confessed no i don't , she laughed and said to me as TTWII was playing in the back ground , she said you see the woman with the big hair , so i said yeah she said well thats me, i couldn't believe it i said so sorry i never twigged but you look to young to be in that , she looked like mid 30's at the time. THis was when TTWII was re-released think around the 25th anniversary in Memphis, everytime i saw her from then on she remembered and always had a joke witht he rest of the sweets saying i look to young to be part of this lmao.

Eddie are you 100% sure she died? None of her friends posted anything yet on facebook or e-mail.

I've heard that this is a hoax, although I'm not 100% sure......

I hope not i just found it on facebook , people are so cruel if it aint true like i said i did not know the details it's just what i had heard

Cant find anything either, hope this is a hoax. Who every has started really needs to get a grip on there life

it might have jsut been a case of miss information however started it might have had the same intention as eddie..... they misheard or saw something and just got it wrong leading to this

As I told you, Myrna was released from the hospital & moved back to Canyon Oaks Nursing & Rehab. Center & I visited her there on Sunday & Monday. Being released from the hospital means (I assume) that the infections had cleared up (which is good); however, the three serious infections she had plus being confined to bed (no physical therapy) while in the hospital seem to have made Myrna weaker & less alert. Although, for her last few days in the hospital, they did start to work with Myrna to exercise her limbs in the bed, it is not the same as getting her out of bed for therapy. I noticed Myrna's hand & arm movements (holding things & eating) were not as good. Also, I thought her speech was not as good, but that could be because she was tired when I was there. I'm hoping that being back at Canyon Oaks & again getting physical, occupational & speech therapy will help.

Myrna is now in Room 408A at Canyon Oaks, please send cards again.

This just in from Myrna Smith's manager. Hey all. Bad news on Myrna Smith She has a taken a turn for the worse. Does not look good. Thanks to all who have had Myrna in their thoughts and prayers. Keep it up! And special thanks to all who have donated and done fundraisers for her. Will... try to keep you informed.

Such a lovely lady....
Whilst on tour last year with the sweets, I was invited into their dressing room, to change.
And Myrna and Portia helped me with boob tape LOL!
We had the giggles!
They adored my handbags, so before they left, I gave them one each (which Portia tells me she is still 'rocking her purse!'.
They gave myself and Chris a lovely card, with messages from all 3, which I treasure!
I think this was the last time they were in the UK.
They shared a few Elvis stories with us, and it was unbelievable to think how very close they were, and they were now helping to apply boob tape! LOL!
The main thing I noticed was how very polite they were.
Please keep us posted Val.

such sad news to hear Myrna took a turn for the worse, like everyone am thinking of her and sending positive thoughts for her recovery.
