Best welsh

Hi does anyone no that this event is being held in 2 weeks? I have been trying to make my point about it being an unfair event as it is being held on a thursday night in s wales well my argument is why a thursday i mean the lads who live in n wales would need to take at least 2 days of work and pay travel and hotel fees, i dont wont to sound unfair but surely the event should be on a weekend which would make it fair on the whole of wales not just the porthcawl etas, its not there fault but as this event holds a national title surely this should be advertised to the hole of wales.

I know that this event is part of the porthcawl festival but if it was a fair contest it would be on a weekend it suits the organisers for it to be a s wales winner, these are just my thoughts please tell me what you guys think i mean do they hold the best english, irish or the best uk event in midweek no because they are fair events which are open to everyone, dont get me wrong it is a great event but a totally unfair evnt to the whole of wales, the organisers need to realise its not just about porthcawl, i have tried to get an answer and to be honest have yet to receive a proper answer because the organisers know that this is not really about the best welsh its more about filling the hi tide on a thursday night when it would normally be dead

They always do events in the mid week as you wont lose out on bookings on the weekend.

come on mate why was the images event during the weekend, best uk weekend, blackpool weekend i see your a s wales lad so your response does not surprise me my argument is simple why have a national competition on a thursday night surely there would be more interest if this were on a weekend i mean so far there are 4 contestants all from s wales this event is a great event but not a fair event as i have stated it almost makes it impossible for n wales lads to enter which suits the organisers, the hi tide no that they will have a thursday night with there bar full where normally they would not be using it ask yourself this mate would you enter this event if it were held on a thursday night in rhyl

Yeah why not its the taking part that counts, theres only one best elvis at the end of the day and thats the man himself.
Also to meet up with the guys and fans then if you win its a bonus.

If the best english Elvis event is held in London would it be fair to the northern guys??? If the event and title is important enough to you then you will be there, it's that simple. it isn't designed for south wales guys to win.

Christ knows and to be honest i don't care when they hold it, I'm sure people would travel far and wide to lift the title no matter where in England they are from. That's my point

as you no mate my gripe is not the location its the day its on if it were on at hi tide on a saturday it would be attended by a lot more etas its just a shame that you cant see it mate your a top guy dean but we will agree to disagree but a national title its not

i realise mate that you have a lot to do with the porthcawl events so we will never agree on this but christ has just shouted down "have it on a saturday the event will be twice as big and fair to everyone"
