Had an excellent show last night with a great crowd!
Eddie was on top form although the in house on stage monitors were not too great. He came out in his GI uniform to a really cool intro which was a brief narration of Elvis' career. He had everyone singing along as he crooned out all the favs & more! He sang a song I've never heard a sing before which was 'Anyway You Want Me' & did a superb job of it, he certainly did himself & Elvis' proud with his set so well done to him!
After Ed's set I came out in '68 leathers & a group of 9 women & another group of 4 gals that have been following me recently started cheering & whistling . . no idea why??
I came out to the '68 troubled joined with the Heartbreak medley, I did all the 68 favs plus some movies songs too, the crowd were buzzing thanks to Ed warming them up for my set!
We had a 20 min break then I made my enterance in my new Concho for my TTWII set, yet again the crowd roared & I started to roll off all the greats like That's Alright, I Got A Woman, Suspicious Minds, Patch it Up, Polk Salad Annie, Just Pretend etc. We soon discovered that there were not just our regular clan there but also a fair few Elvis fans in the place that we had not seen before and I & was paid some lovely compliments regarding how I sang & moved! They were dancing pretty much for the whole set
I finished my bit & Ed made his big enterance to 2001 See See Rider & continued to sing Big Hunk, Burning Love, Proud Mary etc, again the crowd were buzzing & cheering. All the women were up dancing & Ed did a grand job interacting with them all! He finished his set with My Way which had everyone smooching then I came out in my white Cisco Kid suit & finished of the night with a couple of duets including Trilogy & Can't Help Falling In Love. After the show we remained in our suits as there were a few that wanted photo's taken with us which was cool!
Agreat night was had by all & the owner wants us to return!!!

I bet, it was a wonderfull evening, with Eddie!! haha
It must be so much fun to hang around with him.
And i'v seen clips on YouTube from the both of you, so i know you both can put up a nice show!!

Thanks for the review Darren, Im not suprised the crowd was up for it. Sounds like you both had a fab night all round. Is so great to be appriciated, especially by Elvis Fans as believe it or not they can sometimes be the most hardest to win over. Well done and all the best for 2009 Wink

Thankyou Lorna x Yes you are right there, Elvis fans can be the hardest to win over so I guess Ed & I did our jobs right!

thanks for that really nice review Daz , i enjoyed myself and thought you were sounding on top form my friend , a shame about the monitors etc.. but hey you live and learn and sometimes it's best sticking to what you know and using your own gear as it can always be a gamble using an in house pa , anyway all in all a succesful night , nice to bring back some of the old times Wink
