Yep this is the correct place. Whoop whoop, dont know if you want to mention that I had sent them an email before christmas about it, just so that they realise it is from the same thing and wating for me to send something. Sometimes my email address throughs people as it is poisonval. Still got blisters from all that walking around.

No thats fine Michelle, I am more than happy for you to do it. Just didnt want them confused, they didnt reply to me. My email address is poisonval@hotmail.com, probably thought I was a nut job I put in the link to the browser and the contest, they probably have a lot of emails saying things but dont reply to them all as they probably dont know themselves if they are genuine until the money is sent in.

Michelle, I have sent Jules a message to see if he had recorded the raffle. This way we can probably at least confirm the number as I though it was 15.

you could be right val i not sure why im thinking 26 - it was deffo a low number, cos I thought the winner was JLM remember he insisted on the yellow tickets and we hadnt started that book yet lol - I thought they mistaken white for yllow - I am sure he took strips so if it was 15 I think he could be the winner lol - if it was on the yellow ticket?

Does anyone have the contact details of Jay so that we can find out what has happended to the scarf and we can then sort it out. I asked Jules if he had taped the raffle but he hadn't but he gave me what he thought it was. It is the right number but not the correct colour as I have the books and we did not sell that number in that colour.

I bene thinking about this over weekend - need to locate scarf, didnt really want to woryy michael with it with whats going on - once we know where it is and cwn et t we can decide what to do etc..

Guys, sorry i am slow but i have done the letters now and cheques for the charities (I got no printer at home so had to do them in work when boss wasnt lurking) I wil lnip and post them this lunch time.

Here is what I wrote, I hope its ok - The Mens Matters was exactly the same letter but i replaced Petes name with Vals and changed where needed mens matetrs & Stroke Support. As soon as I get acknowledgement from them i will scan it and and get that uploaded too - was not sure if I needed to put this on public forum, thought maybe be best to wait and put the acknowledgements up especially as we have a scarf problem at the moment. I dont know Jay at all and feel weird calling him, does anyone else?? If not I wil ltry and email him. I dont even know where the scarf is, we really need to get it into our hands so we can decide what to do.

I havea feeling the number was 26 and so that could have been pink green or blue - we know its not yellow because we did not sell no 26 yellow - I doubt very much with all the events that happened that the ticket went up somewhere and someone claimed the scarf?

Whatever the number is unless the winning number was on the baord in the mornign and soemone came forward for the scarf I doubt we will find the winner or if people have their tickets available to be verified any more.

If we went with 26 yellow, least that would alleviate the problems but I aint totally comfie with it to be honest. If we made some more money of the scarf for the charities thats great but have to say my conscience would be affected lol and I cant deal with that as the saying goes A clear conscience is the softest pillow and I like to sleep at nights hehe.

Chances of even being 100% sure of winnign ticket again quite slim
It wasnt our thought really everything was so running over it all got kinda forget about and rushed at the end

If we do get the scarf back what to be done with it?? Auctioned? or maybe given to someone deserving? I think in the circumstances I would prefer the 2nd option. There could be a kiddie someowhere or someone who isnt in the best of health to whom that could mean the world, but how would we choose and find out such a person.. gawdddddddddddd its a nightmare lol helppppppp

Just before Christmas a friend of mine, Mr Pete Moore contacted you to let you know that we were doing some fund raising and would like to donate some of the proceeds of our efforts to your cause.

We run an online Forum about Elvis Presley (www.elvisisinthebrowser.com) The forum is made up of Fans and Elvis Tribute Artists alike. Last weekend the largest competition in Europe was held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, where over 80 Elvis Tribute Artists battled it out for the title of European Champion (http://www.elviscontest.co.uk/) during the intervals we sold raffle tickets, the prize was a very very long silk Elvis style scarf that was signed by every single Tribute Artist that took part, as well as the children in the novice competition and all of the big name showcasers and bands that also took part over the weekend. Your charity was well promoted and we do hope that this will also encourage people to donate personally to your cause.

When we originally came up with the idea for the scarf we had 2 charities that were nominated, yourselves and Men Matter Appeal, we could not and did not want to choose between 2 such wonderful causes as both where very relevant for us as a group, so we decided back then that we would split the proceeds between you both. We raised a total of £406.42p I am therefore enclosing a cheque for £205.00 for Stroke Support.

Please would you be kind enough to acknowledge receipt of this cheque so that I can make this available to all the kind folks who generously purchased tickets at a time that is economically very hard for everyone.

I am enclosing a SAE save you the postage costs.

Thats brilliant Michelle, great letter.

I think the number was 15 and either blue or green as they said it was white/yellow. This is the lightest colour which sold that number. I will email Jay and ask him about the scarf. I asked Jules if he had videod it but hadn't he was adament it was 16 yellow but we have not sold that in the Yellow. Think we should either go with 16 blue or green as this is the lightest colours.

Once I have had a reply from Jay we can go from there.
