It looks like the photos were taken around the summer 1972 so he would have been 37.

Billy stanley posted this picture on fb about a week ago and here is what he said

"Here's a pic of Elvis talking with one of the first ETA's... I saw this guy standing at the gate, and told Elvis about him, and he went outside to meet him...."

I wonder what Elvis thought.

being as Elvis had the plain shirt on David and not the paisley this is a picture of Elvis getting in his car not Larry

there are 2 people in that pic and yes i was aware elvis had on a plain shirt so that would be him at the drivers door.....but the guy in the patterned shirt at the passenger side.....

it isnt larry unless he went and changed his hair fromwhat i am led to believe Elvis only spoke to him through the gate nothing more but im sure billy will be able to tell us more i will ask him

following a debate about these pictures and blongs role as a possible presely body double in an old thread on tcbworld i came across this which might be interesting to you all especially the last bit

This is the real Larry Blong. People at sandyandelvis@yahoo began writing untrue things about me and putting words in my mouth that I have never said. I wrote Suite 101 and told them I am going to sue everyone who has written or printed this junk. I was an Elvis impersonator in the 70s and 80s (last show was 1986). I performed at the first Elvis Convention in Memphis in June of 1976 and met Elvis buddy George Klein who told me "Larry, Elvis wouldn't want to see you perform, it would be too scary". I am listed in Elvis' secretary's book, "My Life With Elvis" as one of the top Elvis acts in the U.S.A. I have met Elvis on several occasions as a fan. I was a fan first and an impersonator second. I never did anything but a Tribute Show and hung at the gate everyday from 1975 to August 8th 1977. I was in the Memphis Press-Scimitar in an article by Bill Burke with quotes from George Klein. GK said that "the way Larry moves, his lips, eyes, shoulder movements, the way he walks, he must study Elvis' moves 12 hours a day. The article was called "Double EL, A Near Duplicate". So I have never doubled for Elvis, never met him in California or any other garbage that sandyandelvis@yahoo say that
I did. They are going to be sued and everyone else who has taken part in this corruption. I looked like Elvis because of make-up and acting ability. I did the best job I could do and apparently it was enough to impress Elvis' best man and buddy George Klein. George called Dick Clark in Vegas the next day on my behalf but Dick told him, "I got three guys on the strip that do Elvis better than Elvis". So that was the end of that but when I did shows in and around Memphis (including the Crosstown Theater where Elvis used to see all-night movies) I would hire GK to come out first and tell stories about Elvis and answer questions. So that was it, never knew Elvis personally, although he probably saw me everyday with the camera on the lawn, shook hands with him seven times, and kissed his right hand the first time, and met him twice in Oct 76 and April 77 in the Vickers Gas Station. Elvis was always accommodating, nice and funny. Elvis never used a double and even did most of his own stunts in Hollywood. Today, I play golf and work for the U.S government. I write Elvis "fiction" stories, but this bullcrap from sandyandelvis is bigger than any Elvis fiction story that I ever wrote, including "Elvis on Ice". If you guys are nice I might send you a copy.
So get it straight. I am Larry Blong, was an EP impersonator, not me in that phony pic (I looked a lot better than whoever is standing next to the "King", was a fan first, and am trying to correct all the baloney. Would be happy to answer any thing you might want to know. Could you pass this around so people will start to get the truth from "The horse's mouth". Thanks,

ok I am getting confused now - The pics that originally were put up with Elvis at the gates is the otehr guy Larry Blong then? In the post you put david where larry isd enying some stuff is he denying thats him in the pictures at gate? sorry if I am stupid its just me age hehe

guy getting in car could be red west it appears to be someone with lighter coloured hair

talking of hair, dont Elvis' look good all long and no product in it just eu naturale - swoooooooooooooooooon swoooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnn - love it

according to the post i put up that i found else where larry is indeed denying that it is him at the gates with elvis

okey cokey thanks David - whoever it is lucky them and my gawd Elvis just looking so dreamy I think all teh ladies would agree hehe x

thought id have a look around regardign this picture it was infact taken at 1174 hillcrest ave beverley hills. and not Grceland as some believe another believe the picture is totaly faked but on the other hand some people claim to know the photographer and it is real, Larry Blong seems to clamber for the limelight whenever and for whatever he can like many others he seems to have tried to jump on the back of Elvis and managed to hold on with the skin of his teeth and to prove a point people are still talking about the guy i wonder how many others will still be going after 20, 30 or even 40 years
